2. Apple Cider Vinegar Solution:
- Mix 1-2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar with 1 cup of water in a separate container or bottle.
Usage:
1. Wet your hair thoroughly with warm water.
2. Apply the baking soda solution to your scalp and hair, focusing on the roots. Gently massage it into your scalp using your fingertips. This mixture acts as a cleanser to remove dirt and excess oils.
3. Rinse your hair thoroughly with warm water.
4. After rinsing, apply the apple cider vinegar solution to your hair, focusing on the ends. Avoid getting it in your eyes, as it can cause discomfort. This mixture helps to restore the natural pH balance of your hair and adds shine.
5. Let the apple cider vinegar solution sit on your hair for a few minutes, then rinse it out with water.
Note: It's important to experiment with the amounts of baking soda and apple cider vinegar to find the right balance for your hair. Some people may find that using these ingredients too frequently or in excessive amounts can cause dryness or other issues. You may need to adjust the recipe to suit your individual needs.
Remember, the transition to a "no poo" method may take some time for your hair to adjust. Initially, you might experience a period of oiliness or imbalance as your scalp adapts to the new routine. It's advisable to gradually reduce the frequency of traditional shampooing while incorporating this alternative method.
